I was contacted by The Known Company on behalf of Kerluxe, a Swiss Haircare Brand; the brief was to shoot a variety of images for use on Social media and their website. After agreeing to come up with a shoot plan including mood boards and shot list, this had to be approved by Known & Kerluxe before I started shooting. The shoot was booked for one day in the studio in Brighton. The Client flew over from Switzerland to attend the shoot, although could only stay for a few minutes at a time due to other meetings. This was fine as I emailed over shots for approval as I went along.Having been well prepared beforehand with a list of shots & props made the shoot day go smoothly. Two days were spent afterwards retouching to a high degree, making sure backgrounds & Products were correctly colour matched.
THE SUSSEX PEASANT
Ed from the Sussex Peasant in Brighton has achieved so much in such a short space of time including becoming a finalist in the BBC Food & Farming Awards. This is a short film profiles him, some of his suppliers and his business.
These portraits were shot for a marketing campaign to be run in Europe for use on the web and for printed leaflets, which would be slipped into targeted magazines. The idea of the story was to use ordinary members of the public who used 1&1 to host their own websites. They would come into the studio and spend 1-2 hours each having their portrait shot in different poses.
I was approached by Cake (Havas PR) on behalf of Sony Mobile & asked if I would like to participate in the Sony Mobile Xperia Campaign. They wanted me to shoot a series of images using the latest Xperia Mobile device to show off their innovative mobile camera technology called Motion-Eye which freezes motion. They would then use these images for social media, in-store and on devices worldwide.
